They are switch-offs, with dates attached: - **31 October 2026:** classic CRM cards are sunset. - **4 December 2026:** Pipelines API v1 stops responding. If someone built a custom integration for your portal a few years ago (an ERP sync, a sidebar card that shows order history, a script that creates deals in the right pipeline), there's a real chance one of these affects you. You won't get an error message on your screen. Something will just stop showing up, or stop syncing. Classic CRM cards reach their sunset date on **31 October 2026**. **What they are:** classic CRM cards are the older style of custom card in the right-hand sidebar of a contact, company, deal or ticket record. Integrations use them to show data from another system: "last 5 orders from Shopify", "open invoices from the ERP", "subscription status from Stripe". **What's happening:** HubSpot stopped certifying new Marketplace apps with classic cards in June 2025. On **31 October 2026** the framework reaches its sunset date, and existing apps had to migrate by then. **What replaces them:** app cards built with React (HubSpot's UI extensions). They're more capable: they can be interactive, show richer layouts and sit in more places in the CRM. HubSpot has published a converter tool and a view-swap endpoint to help with migration. **Who's most at risk:** private apps and custom integrations built for a single portal, usually by an agency or freelancer who isn't watching HubSpot's developer changelog any more. Big Marketplace vendors will have handled this. Your bespoke ERP card probably hasn't been touched since it was built. ## When is the HubSpot Pipelines API v1 sunset? On **4 December 2026**. **What it is:** the original API for reading and managing deal and ticket pipelines and their stages. **What's happening:** in HubSpot's words, "any calls to V1 endpoints will stop working after December 4, 2026." There's no grace period. **What replaces it:** the date-versioned Pipelines API, **version 2026-09**, generally available since 9 September 2026. **Why it matters more than it sounds:** pipeline and stage IDs sit at the heart of many integrations. An ERP-to-CRM sync that creates deals, a form handler that routes leads into a sales pipeline, a reporting script that maps stages: if any of those still call v1, they fail on 4 December. That's just as the year-end sales push peaks. ## How often do HubSpot integrations need updating now? At least twice a year. Both deadlines are part of a wider change. HubSpot's developer platform now ships **new platform versions every six months, each supported for 18 months**. Projects 2025.1 already reached end of support on 1 August 2026, and 2025.2+ gets until March 2027. In practice, a custom integration is no longer "build once, forget forever". It needs a maintenance check at least twice a year, the same way you'd patch a website. ## How do I check if my HubSpot portal is affected? Note anything custom or built for you. 2. **Open a few records** (contact, company, deal, ticket) and look at the right sidebar. Any card showing data from another system is a candidate for the classic-card deadline. 3. **Ask whoever built it** two questions: "Does this use classic CRM cards?" and "Does anything we run call the v1 Pipelines API?" If you can't reach the original developer, that's your answer: it needs a review. 4. **Search your code** (if you have it) for `/crm-pipelines/v1/` and for legacy CRM card configuration. 5. **Put dates in the calendar:** 31 Oct, 4 Dec and March 2027. ## What does the migration involve? - **Classic card → React app card:** rebuild the card as a UI extension. Simple read-only cards are a small job. Interactive ones take longer but usually end up better than the original. - **Pipelines v1 → 2026-09:** update the endpoints and the response handling, then test against a sandbox portal before switching production. - **Add monitoring:** a simple alert when a sync fails beats discovering in January that deals stopped flowing in December. ## Frequently asked questions ### What replaces HubSpot classic CRM cards?
